Privacy policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use crsboost.com (the "site"). In short: the calculators work entirely in your browser, so the site does not collect or store what you enter. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary technical logs, and we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. Both are described below.
What you enter into the tools
Everything you type into the calculators, such as your age, education, language scores and work experience, stays on your device. It is processed by JavaScript in your browser and is never sent to our servers or to anyone else. We cannot see it.
To save you typing the same answers again, the CRS calculator stores your last answers in your browser's local storage, under a key that starts with "crsboost:". This stays on your device. You can remove it with the "Reset to the example" button on the calculator, or by clearing site data for this site in your browser settings.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., to count visits and see which pages are used, so that we can improve the site. A small script from Cloudflare runs on each page and sends Cloudflare the address of the page, the page you came from (the referrer), your browser and device type, the country estimated from your IP address, and technical measurements such as how long the page took to load. It does not send any of your answers to the calculators.
Cloudflare says the service does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. The reports we see are totals, such as visits per page or per country, and do not identify individual visitors. Cloudflare may process this information outside Canada. What we do not use
- No advertising and no advertising cookies.
- No cookies of our own.
- No tracking across other websites.
- No external fonts or other resources from third parties, apart from the Cloudflare Web Analytics script described above.
- No accounts or sign-in.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and keep the service secure, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request, such as the IP address, the browser type and the page requested, and may keep logs for a limited time. We do not use this to identify visitors and we do not combine it with anything else.
If you email us
If you write to contact@crsboost.com, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to read and answer your message and to correct the site. We do not sell it, share it for marketing or add you to any list. We keep emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message.
Your rights
In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets the rules for how private-sector organizations handle personal information. We aim to follow its principles: collect only what is needed, use it only for the purpose you gave it, protect it, and let you see, correct or delete it. To ask what we hold about you, or to have an email deleted, write to contact@crsboost.com. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Pages link to IRCC and other official websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If the site ever adds advertising, this page will say so first and list what is collected.
